Location visit to the ranch to discuss the project with the people who commissioned the painting.

The composition was sketched on site to best combine the horses and the location with the ranch owner.

Every horse had to be captured in the right light. Dozens of photos showed the horses in different light and mood.

A few days later the painting was completed and varnished. Acrylic dries very quickly so it is not necessary to wait months before varnishing.
